As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.Summary:Sonos began with a mission: to realize the potential of technology to help the world listen better.  To make listening out loud easier, more immersive, more rewarding; to bring people together to share experience, and better our lives.  This is the reason behind everything we do.At Sonos, the listener always comes first.  Systems are simple to set-up, use and fine-tune.  We’re building bridges, expanding our platform, forging new partnerships, and pushing the limits of what’s possible.   High-quality speakers stream premium sound around and beyond your home.  We hold over 500 patents and counting.  Innovation and invention are unending stories, and we are just getting started.As a Hardware System Integration Engineer in the Product Development Team, you will be one of the most impactful players accountable for product performance that meets the Sonos bar.  Your delivered performance will impact next generation smart speakers from end to end, via collaboration with people of all skill sets and backgrounds to realize our vision, while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.Join us if you are passionate about a variety of technologies, integrated complex systems or interested in exploring program management skills.What You’ll Do:Work with US PIE and collaborate with global colleagues to comprehend HW Product Requirements Definition, NUDs (New, Unique, Difficult elements), Usage Models and to identify the correct verification test cases.Define system hardware verification strategies and plans including sub-system and system levels.Realizing system level hardware verifications including but not limited to Color-Material-Finish, Packaging, Mechanical, Electrical, Audio, Power Supply, Boot, Thermal, Design Maturity, etc. by developing, executing, tracking, or managing at multiple sites (primarily in Asia).Own the verification schedule, test status, test result documentation, defects reporting, and failure analysis.Drive end to end verification activities including root causes analysis, DoE, solution verification, and issue closure.Develop and implement automatic test methodologies.Improve efficiency and optimize verification activities.Train other engineers at Sonos and at contract manufacturers.What You’ll Need:BSEE, BSME or equivalent.5+ years’ experience in product development team or proven track records of driving product verifications.Knowledge and experience of analog and digital electronics, signal measurement, troubleshooting.Experience with integrating multiple sub-systems including software is a strong plus.Experience in using Linux, Perl, and/or Python.Ability to work independently and in a team.Excellent cross functional communication skills with a multi-site development team.Ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and EnglishExcellent written communication skills in both Chinese and English.You do not have to be an expert in everything, but you are excited by challenges and take initiative to learn and collaborate with others. You do what it takes to get things done.Nice to have:  Experience of product hardware development, or hardware verification working with global teams and ODM/JDM/OEM.Experience in wireless communications, or audio and acoustic engineering.Knowledge of materials and mechanical engineering fields.Your profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
