It’s about impact, not location.As a Technical Project Manager you will be in a key, high-visibility role within Sonos. You’re a well-rounded professional with experience managing projects involving software development and hardware integrations. You’re highly organized, passionate, and drawn to leading technical collaboration in cross-team situations to bring new products and experiences to market. You appreciate the diversity of our global markets and are capable of leading and coordination between multiple product development, manufacturing and operations teams world-wide.What You’ll DoManage multiple projects involving software development, hardware integrations, user experience, manufacturing, and operations.Navigate complex system relationships and dependencies in software-driven integrated systems.Work closely with area leads to establish project schedules, identify cross-team dependencies and integration points, establish release cadence and processes. If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.Basic QualificationsBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar engineering degree with 4+ years of professional experience as a software technical project manager, or equivalent experience.Proven ability to understand, decompose, and navigate complex system relationships and dependencies in software-driven integrated systems.Familiarity with agile methodologies, software development lifecycle models, work breakdown structures, top-down and bottom-up software project estimation methods.Experience with resource loading and capacity planning to ensure teams are not overcommitted.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders at the right level of detail for the audience. Demonstrated success in establishing standards and processes, metrics, setting expectations, tracking progress, and holding team members accountable in ways that are respectful and model our Sonos core behaviors.Hands-on expertise with Atlassian tools, particularly Confluence and Jira.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated success leading software development projects with internal and external partners from around the world.Prior software development experience is a strong plus.Familiarity with multimedia solutions, audio and video formats.Interdisciplinary experience with electrical systems, electronics, or mechanical design in either a professional capacity or a hobby setting (a “maker mentality”)Collaborative spirit, a strong sense of drive and ownership, ability to work independently, and desire to lead in a supportive and fast-paced environment.You can be located anywhere as long as you have the flexibility of regularly interacting with other team members in the Eastern US time zone. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting minimum base pay for this role is: $122,000We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including open time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
