We are designing a voice interface that is fully private, more personal, and more natural. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to initiate, plan and drive the execution of the end user experience of Sonos Voice Control product. This covers all the projects related to the end user experience with Sonos Voice Control. You will be working closely with a variety of different groups inside Sonos engineering and product teams to make Sonos vision a reality: UX team, embedded software teams, machine learning scientists, computational linguists, cloud infrastructure teams, all spread between US and European Sonos offices. You have a strong background in consumer products management, clear understanding of the technical challenges of running embedded software, manipulating large and diverse data sources, familiar with cloud services for millions of users, in close cooperation with first class tech teams. You are able to traverse the realms of business, experience design & technology and can rapidly simplify complex topics to frame an approach to solving them and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization to drive execution. What You’ll do Drive delivery of Sonos Voice Control releases from initial product goals down to specification, execution and validation. Review user stories with the product team and work with the engineering team to slice them down in tasks, establish acceptance criteria and agree integration plans with stakeholders (internally and externally).Provide priority guidance, scheduling and tracking of Sonos Voice embedded development team backlog and establish success definition (KPIs, launch readiness, launch success), execution metrics to help team increase predictability and velocity.Coordinate continuous improvement and learnings to permanently fuel product improvement roadmap to ensure we constantly improve our product enablement and usage metrics.Also define, socialize and iterate on product requirements other than UX: budget, efficiency.Coordinate cross-team efforts to get these goals accomplished. This will require partnering closely with other engineering and quality teams and communicating clearly and efficiently with a wide variety of stakeholders. Ensure smooth feature roll out, track feature usage, gather feedback and share those with the team. Contribute in any way you can to make the Sonos Voice product successful and maximize your project’s impact on the end-user experience.Skills You’ll NeedThis role requires a deep knowledge of what it takes to bring a product to production, leadership, and very good communication skills. As a successful candidate, you are passionate about tackling (and solving) challenging problems. You can confidently talk about embedded and mobile app technologies, deployment practices, architecture paradigms and you can explain complex technology in simple terms. You have a can-do attitude with hands-on software engineering experience - you’re not afraid to jump on tasks that are preventing the project from moving on if the team is short-handed.
