It’s about impact, not location.As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core OS Bluetooth team, you will be responsible for developing the industry’s most innovative embedded solution for streaming audio for new product introductions with modern Bluetooth chips. You will work with some of the brightest minds in the business across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustic, signal processing, and WiFi technologies. You will work with a fun and creative team in our fast paced environment.What You’ll DoDesign, develop, integrate, and test Bluetooth software on all Sonos player productsUtilize your Bluetooth knowledge to create solutions that can scale in Sonos wireless networkActively participate in cross-functional teams to develop new devices as well as addressing issues on the existing productsWork with our core Embedded Software teams to enhance our audio pipeline and integrate with our Bluetooth subsystemWork closely with the Hardware and Software teams to optimize Sonos platform performance, maintaining our market position as the most advanced audio hardware system in the worldWhat You’ll NeedBasic QualificationsBS or MS in EE, CE, CS, or related disciplineProficient in C/C++ for embedded systems development built from various Operation System (Linux, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, AOSP, etc) 10+ years of experience in design, developing, and optimizing embedded systemsDemonstrated experience in:Linux kernel or user space development and debuggingBluetooth Classic and BLE protocol stackDeep understanding of Bluetooth Profiles (A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, etc.)Preferred QualificationsProficient with Bluetooth Sniffers (Ellisys or Frontline) and debugging toolsExperience with Bluetooth Stacks (Fluoride, BlueZ, etc.)Experience with BLE Audio frameworkExperience in Bluetooth chipset bring up starting from the HCI layer Experience in working with various Bluetooth chipset vendors (Qualcomm, Broadcom, Infineon, Cypress, NXP, etc.)Experience with the Bluetooth Stack and debugging tools that runs on AOSPKnowledge in Bluetooth Certification procedures and PTSExperience working with various communication and control protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, USB#LI-RemoteWe consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications.  This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants.  The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions.
