In the process, you will find yourself working with some of the brightest minds in the business across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies. What You’ll DoDesign, implement, and test algorithms to solve technical challenges associated with one or more of the following - telephony, voice pickup, Bluetooth communications, active noise cancellation, spatial audioDesign, build, analyze, enhance, and refactor elements of the embedded software system used to power Sonos productsDebug complex low-level problems that may span interfaces between hardware and softwareDevelop and mentor junior engineersQualifications Basic Qualifications: BS or higher in EE, CS, Mathematics, or related discipline w/5+ years of experienceDemonstrable expertise in programming signal processing algorithms using high-level languages like C, Python and Matlab as well as low-level languages like fixed-point assemblyHands-on experience profiling, optimizing, tuning, and debugging embedded DSPsStrong written and verbal communication skills with experience articulating technical concepts in cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications: Solid understanding of Bluetooth fundamentals including Bluetooth Classic, Low Energy, and LE audioDemonstrated experience in audio and speech processingExposure to acoustics and acoustic measurementsIndependent, self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision#LI-RemoteWe consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions.
