If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.Basic QualificationsA BS or MS in acoustics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or an equivalent disciplineKnowledge in audio system measurement and integrationA high degree of comfort leveraging all technologies involved in the audio signal chain including loudspeakers, amplifiers, and signal processingPreferred QualificationsExcellent critical listening skillsSuccessful track record of designing high quality audio products and bringing them to marketStrong familiarity and experience with audio DSP functions such as limiters, compressors, arrays, crossovers, equalization, gain staging, and bass managementUnderstanding of psychoacoustic fundamentalsFamiliarity with music and home theater multi-channel immersive audio renderers such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:XDecisive, action-oriented team player who learns quickly, drives innovation, and takes ownership of open issuesExperience with a variety of acoustic test equipment such as Smaart, CLIO, Klippel, SoundCheck, Audio Precision, etc.Experience using simulation tools such as MATLAB, VituixCad, LEAP, COMSOL, etc. to model and predict audio system performancePersonal passion for sound quality and music; active musicians a plus!We consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting minimum base pay for this role is: $113,000We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including open time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
