Learn more about Sierra SpaceInitial tasks as part of the Liquid Handling Systems team include development of components and systems to provide liquid cooling and water transport for space vehicles and ISS payloads. The position requires interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise, which the team applies to solving system-level challenges. Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, materials, thermal, manufacturing, and testing process skills are all applicable. Potential future duties include developing low and high pressure gas systems, thermal control systems, LED lighting systems, atmospheric composition control, and biological support systems in spaceflight.Immediate job responsibilities include requirements development, creating conceptual and detailed designs, analysis, interfacing with other design teams and disciplines, prototyping and testing, communicating with suppliers and procurement, and participating in technical reviews (design, test readiness, manufacturing readiness, etc.) with customers. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal manufacturing, test, and verification teams.
