The team applies interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise to solving system-level challenges. Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, materials, thermal, manufacturing, and testing process skills are all applicable. Critical electrical engineering duties within the Liquid Handling Systems team include analog and digital based implementations of closed loop control systems, open loop systems, motor drive and control, communications, health monitoring, and power management. Potential future areas of focus include data acquisition and control, telemetry, developing and supporting low and high pressure gas systems, thermal control systems, LED lighting systems, atmospheric composition control, environmental sensing and biological support systems in spaceflight.Immediate job responsibilities include requirements development and compliance, conceptual and detailed design creation, analysis, interfacing with other design teams and disciplines, prototyping and testing, communicating with suppliers and procurement, and participating in technical reviews (design, test readiness, manufacturing readiness, etc.) with customers. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal manufacturing, test, and verification teams.
