You will help identify gaps in current business processes, assess the effectiveness of operations, analyze internal controls for weaknesses, prepare reports of findings, and formulate recommendations for improvements. You will be using your skills and expertise to conduct internal audits, evaluate the accuracy of our processes and business systems, and support DCAA, DCMA, and customer audits, which will include performing audits, pulling or compiling the requested support, and reviewing support for completeness. You'll positively impact the business by staying aware of changes in regulations, building relationships throughout the organization, and being a trusted advisor. If you’re thinking about your own next frontier, we’d love to help you explore it.WHAT YOU’LL DODevelop internal audit programs and conduct audits to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of records, efficiency of business operations, and monitor the resulting corrective actions.Ensure processes and procedures are appropriately documented, as well as extracting and analyzing data to determine deficiencies or non-compliance with regulations, laws, or internal procedures.Report on findings and make recommendations for management on risk areas, as well as create and update processes, procedures, and trainings to support risk mitigation efforts.Lead compliance audits, including organizing reviews, generating metrics, developing action plans, identifying training needs, as well as following up to ensure the risk has been addressed in all functional areas of the organization.Support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and/or Customer audits, including audits of the Incurred Cost Submission, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and contract pre-award or post-award audits.  Support non-government audits conducted by the Internal Audit & Compliance function.Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.
