The Senior Internal Auditor for Technology is responsible for the performance of IT operational audits, cyber security and Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX) compliance control assessments. The ideal candidate is a professional, able to build and maintain relationship and trust with stakeholders, while executing audit engagements. Strong experience in operational audits and knowledge of federal compliance requirements in support of annual audit planning and continuous monitoring is highly desired. Successful candidate understands project management and has the desire to work in a collaborative environment.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Performs information systems audits covering all phases of planning, testing and reporting over IT operational, cyber security reviews, and SOX assessments to identify areas of risk that may require stronger controls and to prioritize audit steps across different business units and processes.Assesses documentation, processes, methods, policies, costs, and other factors to determine if assigned scope areas are operating in accordance with established and relevant controls in a way that adequately mitigates identified risks.Prepares and performs timely follow up on audit findings regarding the efficiency, accuracy, and security of financial and non-financial programs with supporting leading practice recommendations to address issues and improvement opportunities identified through audit observations.Interfaces and partners with management across different functions (vendor management, IT, cyber security and the business) to review issues, gain their acceptance and develop business-based solutions to drive compliance across different requirements such DFARs, ITAR, CMMC, FedRamp, SOX, NIST, Privacy and other related regulations.Works closely with the IT Audit Director and other internal audit members on IT risk assessments and audit planning.Develops and maintains strong cross-functional relationships with external auditors in support of our SOX compliance program.Shares knowledge, deliver training, and support to IT and business teams as needed to drive compliance requirements.May require occasional domestic travel.Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.
