Learn more about Sierra SpacePrimary Responsibilities:Working closely with the Program Chief Engineer lead the design, development, integration and test, and operations of the program EPS ElementsLead the Electrical Power Subsystem in the generation and decomposition of requirements, allocation of specifications, control documents, plans and reports in support of the development activitiesWork directly with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure the successful technical, schedule, and cost execution of the EPS Subsystem cost account.Support the engineering team on refining the system architecture during all phases of the system lifecycle.Work closely with the chief engineer and manufacturing in developing the Engineering Program Plan (EPP)Lead the program efforts to interpret customer objectives, and generate requirements, and decompose them into hardware and system requirements and specificationsOriginate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activitiesLead analysis efforts showing anticipated and measured performance against mission level performance.Support Integrated Product Team(s) activities, documents meetings and tracks action itemsSupport the chief engineer in tracking the EPPPrepare material for, and conduct periodic design reviewsExecute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost and schedule requirementsEnsure that all specifications, designs and developments adhere to SNC standards and customer requirementsProvide support in the development and maintaining of configuration baselines for systems and sub-systemsMust-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10(ten) or more years of relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering toolsProgressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Preferred: Active US Government security clearanceExposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysisBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryExperience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysisFamiliarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processesFamiliar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic captureUnderstanding of the printed circuit board layout process and toolsImportant Notice:To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
