As the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Manager, your primary objective will be to communicate and implement the risk strategy and act as the risk and opportunity management expert. Key program responsibilities include:-facilitating risk meetings to identify, assess and manage program vulnerabilities and opportunities. -reviewing mitigation actions across program IPTs and corporate functional areas.-providing guidance to the business on identifying and managing key risks, controls, metrics, and issues. -assessing cost and schedule impacts. -coordinating the requirement for and allocation of management reserve.-driving continuous improvement and enhancements to risk management methodologies.To be successful, the selected candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, be well organized and able to work effectively with a large, federated, and distributed team in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of program management standards, policies, and guidelines. They should also be able to interact with executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentationsMust-haves:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or technically related discipline and typically three (3) or more years of experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education- Program management experience on a complex aerospace program. Solid understanding of program management best practices- A strong business acumen with ability to analyze program financial and schedule data, define and monitor program metrics, assess, and manage risks and resource allocations- Understands what it means to be hard on the issues, but not on the people. A leader who champions and inspires their team through collaboration, inclusivity, and trust- A master communicator who facilitates clear and consistent communication up, down and across the organization- Demonstrated initiative in assessment of program execution issues, risks, and negative trends with a willingness to dive in and help the program team implement effective corrective actions in a timely manner- Experience in ensuring a program execution team is carrying out their duties and tasks efficiently, adhering to budgets, scope, and schedule- Comfortable working closely with program leadership, sector leadership, support organizations, external partners, teammates, suppliers, and customers- Experience or willingness and ability to rapidly learn a wide array of program planning and execution tools including the MS Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, Confluence Wiki, and JIRA- Ability to lead PM process & tool improvement- Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM processes and tools- Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controlsPreferred:- Professional certification in program management- Experience managing technical risks and opportunities on large, developmental aerospace programs- CAM experience handling Cost, Schedule and Technical performance management- Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management- Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes- Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes- General understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)- Ability to establish centralized, coordinating body for PM concerns, recommendations, & issues; developing recommended process improvements; facilitating opportunities with Enterprise Program Management and Finance- Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
