As a Machinist IV, you'll complete the fabrication of requested material to achieve defined specifications and provide responsive emergency fabrication support. You'll apply your knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments and fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain our machines and equipment. You'll write more complex programs for engineering drawings for machined part fabrication.Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.
