Residents are services experts deployed into our most important customers to serve as Trusted Advisors and to drive the realization of customer value through delivery of operational production systems based on Broadcom software.  The Endpoint Security Resident is a technical customer success position embedded with Broadcom clients to solve and deliver solutions. The Resident Consultant will have technical and business process knowledge necessary to guide regional Clients through the analysis, design, implementation and integration of one or more products.  The Resident Consultant knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field, and has mastered the key responsibilities. Assignments can be broad in nature and the Resident Consultant may serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. In addition, the Consultant will be responsible for ongoing mentoring within the consulting team and must be an available resource for peer support.  This Resident Consultant will have technical and business process knowledge necessary to guide regional Clients through the analysis, design, implementation and integration of one or more Symantec Endpoint Security products.  The work location will be remote or at a client facility with possible travel onsite.  The successful candidate will be part of a team of Information Protection Consultants that provide assessment, design and implementation services as well as operational residency services for any of Broadcom Security Software’s customers.Knowledge/Skills/Responsibilities: Serve as trusted advisor to our clients to develop and improve their Endpoint Security strategy Lead the assessment of a client's technical requirements and business objectives to effectively implement product solutions that follow to best practices Lead the deployment, configuration and integration of Endpoint Security solutions in large complex environmentsProvide visibility and awareness around Broadcom Software to enable ongoing adoption and value specific to clients’ needsDevelop custom scripts leveraging API’s to integrate with customer SIEMs or other security intelligence technologiesDevelop meticulous documentation specific to client environments and final configurationsTroubleshoot technical and business process issues, including root-cause analysis and mitigation steps Interact with technical support to open, track and resolve product issues  Assist with ongoing maintenance and improvement of services methodologies and required document repositoriesPursue, achieve, and maintain technical education and certifications Adhere to all company policies, including time entry, expense policy,  and code of conduct/ethics training Job Complexity / Contribution: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Generally free to determine work priorities based on general direction from managers.     Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.Consults with management & technical leads on standards and policies to be followed.Completes objectives independently while collaborating with peers and management as needed.Logistics and Physical Demands  Business travel of approximately 50 percent or more yearly is expected for this position but must be able to successfully function with 100 percent remote work as needed to meet company and Client requirements. Education, Training & Certifications Bachelor’s Degree (or global equivalent) in Computer Science or Business-Related Field – preferred Prior experience with Symantec Endpoint Security technologies – required Prior experience migrating from on-premise to cloud deployment of Symantec Endpoint Protection – required Advanced college coursework in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent experience – preferred Certifications for hardware, operating system or specific technologies are preferred, including those from the following organizations: (ISC)2: CISSP ISACA: CISA / CISM GIAC: GSEC / GCED / GCCC / GDAT Cloud: Amazon, Microsoft, Google Experience: Typically, eight (8) or more years of IT-related work experience is required for this position, with 5+ years of experience administering, supporting or consulting on Secure EndPoint Protection in an enterprise customer environment.  Must have experience across Systems Engineering (Windows and UNIX), Databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and Operations, exposure to a variety of organizational sizes, and general knowledge of the roles and objectives of IT Audit, Compliance and Security.#LI-REMOTE Additional Job Description: Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200.00 - $152,000.00. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
