The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software and a strong background in mechanical & test engineering principles.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical solutions for semiconductor test handlers, precision test jigs, and RF test equipment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and procedures.Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, schematics, and test plans.Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify and implement effective solutions.Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Supplier management, including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.Manage multiple suppliers and vendors simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing mechanical solutions.Knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar for electrical & mechanical designsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Experience with project management tools and techniques.Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory control, lead times, and forecasting.Ability to identify and manage risk related to supplier and vendor relationships.Strong project management skills to ensure timely completion of deliverables from suppliers and vendors.Familiarity with contract manufacturing agreements, terms and conditions, and intellectual property considerations.Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of vibration isolation and control.Knowledge of vacuum systems and handling of sensitive componentsFamiliarity with thermal management and heat transfer principlesExperience with semiconductor test handlers, precision test jigs and RF test equipmentExtensive knowledge of servo motor control & XY tablesExperience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) softwareExperience with cost management and optimization of supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection techniques to ensure products meet specification.Knowledge of ISO and SEMI standards for semiconductor equipment will be an added advantage.Experience with SCADA or other human-machine interfaces will be an added advantage.Knowledge of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers, to test and validate the performance of mechanical systems.Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
