Typical projects include; cleanroom expansion, high purity gas and chemical distribution systems, bulk gas pads, haz mat rooms, and waste treatment systems.The position requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.Responsibilities:Scope and Budget Development: Define new project scope based on organizational priorities and identified infrastructure needs. Utilize consulting partners when necessary to develop concepts to estimate a project budget for approval.Scheduling: Establish baseline schedules to track project progress, communicate critical path and risks to the schedule, and develop plans to recover from schedule slips.Cost Control: Cost accounting including tracking of Broadcom direct commitments as well as general contractor commitments against established budget. Report on budget trends and develop recovery plans when necessary.Design Management: Work with Broadcom resources and engineering consultants to produce design documents that detail the materials and methods required to meet the project objectives.Construction Management: Field verification of construction progress and quality, identify field conditions that do not align with the design and develop contingency plans to achieve goals.Code and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that design and construction are in compliance with model codes, federal regulations and insurance requirements.Project Accounting: Establish and manage project WBS and SOV, define preliminary asset lists at project definition and allocate project direct and indirect costs to asset allocation at project completionDocument Management: File management and project documentation supporting cloud based file management for design and construction contractors. Ensure that all project record documents, specifications, submittals, O&Ms, warranty, etc are received and filed at project closure. Coordinate training for affected engineers and technicians and validate that they have accepted and can locate all necessary information. Contract Management: Manage and maintain a competitive team of trade contractors to provide the specialized construction services associated with semiconductor construction.Team coordination: Coordinate the efforts of the Broadcom tool installation team, SCT engineering, consulting engineers and vendors to deliver safe, high quality, on time project deliverables that conform to documented standardsDocument ManagementQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related fieldMinimum 12 years project management experience, preferably in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, health care or related fieldsFamiliarity with Oracle or SAP preferredDemonstrated knowledge in project management principlesDemonstrated knowledge of scheduling softwareDemonstrated skill in analytical/technical problem solvingAbility to work around hazardous chemicals and where hearing protection is requiredAbility to stand or walk for long periods of timeWorking knowledge of office computer applicationsLegal authorization to work in the USAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $93,000 - $155,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
