Our group’s mission is to provide an advanced timing sign-off flow to Broadcom’s chip teams with the goal to achieve high yield without excessive pessimism. The candidate will participate in data analysis, statistical modeling, and conduct complex studies and analyses independently. They will also take part in the definition and development of new features, further enhancements and automation, and support for the existing flows and functions. The candidate should have experience with industry standard Statistical Static Timing Analysis (SSTA) tools, physical implementation flows, and IR-Drop analysis and signoff. Familiarity with low-VDD design methodology, SPICE simulation and cell library development is a bonus. The candidate will be working closely with other experts across the company in a fast paced project oriented agile environment. Development will include evaluation of new features and modeling techniques in EDA tools and writing scripts in TCL, Python, Perl, and Unix shell.The candidate must have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, multi-task efficiently and effectively, proactively deliver practical and quality solutions on-time, work well with external and internal partners, and possess advanced IC design engineering skills. The candidate will be expected to work across multiple facets of projects and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Responsibilities: The candidate will design, implement, and deploy solutions mainly based on TCL, Python, Perl, and Unix shell. The candidate will also be running extensive and complex studies on digital circuits using industry standard SSTA tools and standard cell libraries with variation information. Experience in statistical data analysis, transistor level simulation, and script development in Unix is required. Experience in library characterization, timing signoff margin development, multi-foundry support, ASIC design flow such as physical implementation, timing closure, tape-out, and post-silicon analysis is a bonus.Qualifications:The minimum engineering experience required is typically a BS degree in EE/CS with 12+ years of industry experience, or an MS degree or Ph.D. degree in EE/CS with 10+ years of industry experience. Strong hands-on experience with industry standard signoff tools such as Primetime, Tempus, Redhawk.Strong hands-on experience developing scripts in TCL, Python, Perl, Unix shell and flow automation.Strong hands-on experience with statistical data analysis and modeling.Strong analytical skills and extremely detail oriented, organized and methodical.Good software development practices for writing scalable and maintainable code is highly valued.Strong communication skills. Clear and concise.Strong multitasking skills.Optimistic yet pragmatic attitude.Demonstrable skills for quick ramp-up.Ability to stay calm under extreme pressure. Team player.Able to work with minimum supervision, handle ambiguity and drive problem solving to resolution autonomously. Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
