If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom is seeking an experienced RFIC, analog/mixed-signal Design Engineer to join a dynamic team working on state-of-the-art mmWave solutions, for its fast growing satellite phased-array transceivers in advanced deeply-scaled CMOS process. The successful candidate will own the design and development of RF transceiver sub-blocks: low noise amplifiers, mixers, PGAs, RF PLLs & synthesizers, analog filters and more.Job Responsibilities:As a member of the design team design state-of-the art RFIC, analog and high-speed mixed signal circuits and solve technical issuesDrive floorplan and layout efforts using best practices layout techniquesProvide technical support to characterization, test, product and qualification engineersJob Requirements:PhD with 3+ years experience, or Masters degree with 6+ years experience, in designing high performance RFIC and analog/mixed-signal blocks in sub-micron CMOS process.Demonstrated track record for bringing RFIC and high-speed Analog/Mixed-Signal designs into high volume productionStrong understanding of device physics and design trade-offs (noise, mismatch, linearity, bandwidth, etc.)Knowledge of tradeoffs among various transceiver architectures and solid understanding of RF system design and tradeoffsSolid understanding and design experience in RFIC such as mixers, PGAs, Filters, LNAs, PAs and VCOs in CMOS is a plusWorking experience with Smith chart, RF matching, transmission lines, linear and nonlinear effects such as IIP2/3 is a plusWorking experience with EM modeling using tools such as EMX is a plusExperience in high performance design layout techniquesExperience with system-level analog design including modeling behavioral operation of RF, analog & mixed-signal circuitsExperience with custom high-speed digital design and custom timing is a plusKnowledge of Verilog/RTL, any level, a plus.Experience in relevant CAD tools (Cadence, Matlab, verliogA, EM, AMS flow, etc.)Experience with common lab equipmentStructured IC design methodology covering specifications, implementation, design and testTeam player with excellent communications skillsAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $91,200  - $152,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
