The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power integrity analysis, simulation and measurements, as well as experience with PCB design and layout. You will work with cross functional teams to define system architecture and design systems with CSG switch devices.CSG develops large and integrated system-on-chip (SoC) devices for a wide variety of market segments from SMB to MSDCs. Our team designs reference, validation and production boards with numerous high speed SERDES at 112G speed and beyond including test chips and other test vehicles to explore future generation technology. Come and join Broadcom's dynamic, exciting and innovative team to create solutions for Broadcom, Broadcom customers and industry as a whole.Responsibilities·        Design, simulate, measure and troubleshoot power delivery for highly sensitive analog circuits and high current with high transient digital rails·        Perform pre layout and post layout simulations with design tradeoffs between Si, package and PCB ·        Work with the HW team on power delivery implementation.·        Work with SERDES IP, Packaging, PCB teams and suppliers on identifying solutions·        Drive next generation system feasibility studies ·        Follow and influence industry and standards communities with implementation constraints·        Generate specifications, guidelines and system design rules for internal development and customers·        Drive methodology improvements and automation to optimize scalable PI workflowsRequired Qualifications·        Extensive experience in power delivery designs, power integrity, high speed and RF system design·        Working experience with simulation tools (SPICE, HFSS< SiWave, Sigrity, ADS), from modeling to simulations from VRM to die.·        Proficiency in PCB and Substrate design and layout tools such as Cadence Allegro ·        Good understanding of signal integrity concepts and their relationship with power integrity.·        Hands on lab experience with debugging power integrity failures in the lab with test equipment·        Strong knowledge of power delivery networks, including DC-DC converters, LDOs, and decoupling capacitors.·        Proficient with low voltage noise measurements in high current transient environments·        Strong scripting and automation skills·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills·        Strong communication and teamwork skills.Additional Qualifications·        Bachelor's / Master's / PhD degree in RF, electrical engineering or equivalent and 12/10/7+ years' experience·        Strong RF, voltage regulator and PDN design backgroundAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
