If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom Central Engineering is looking for a talented engineer to help with the development, installation, and testing of physical verification decks (DRC/LVS), primarily in the Calibre tool environment, in support of advanced FINFET technologies. Experience with Calibre and Virtuoso is essential as the position will require development of test designs. Programming skills in PERL, TCL, SKILL and UNIX shell languages will be a plus.  Familiarity with parasitic extraction and simulation would be helpful.Knowledge of industry standard EDA tools and their capabilities used for physical verification is required.Job location is San Jose, CA, USA.Responsibilities:The candidate's general responsibilities include the following:Development and deployment of Calibre DRC/LVS decks for advanced FINFET nodes. Definition and development of simple test-cases and basic test-structures to validate (QA) PV decks.Support of existing automation in PERL, UNIX shell scripting.Creation of documentation and hands-on training for Design & Layout engineers as needed.Tracking and resolution of tool and technology file issues by working with foundry partners.Monitoring of EDA industry trends and new capabilities by attending conferences and research forums. Engagement with EDA and Foundry R&D teams on advanced node capability roadmaps, identification of new tools, development of evaluation criteria and processes and then serving as champion for introduction and usage within the Broadcom design community.Requirements:Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus 6+ years of EDA experience. User level familiarity with related CAD Tools: Calibre, Virtuoso Layout & Schematics. QRC/StarRC, and simulation using SPECTRE/HSPICE will be a plus.Background in layout design and technology knowledge to help solve layout, physical verification, and post-layout extraction challenges and problemsExperience in all phases of CAD tools from evaluation, QA, test, release, and user support to documentationExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, along with strong multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a teamAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $106,800 - $178,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
