Our mission is to build useful, reliable and resilient systems to scale operations.As we continue to evolve and pursue a software first strategy for operational excellence and elimination of manual toil we are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in Auckland, NZ.About the RoleIn this role, you will accelerate our goal of building a reliable and scalable lifecycle management system while also adding to our skill set density within the team. You will play an important part as a mentor and bringing an engineering mindset to the wider team.Here are some things you can expect in the role:Collaborate with peers within the team and partner with others across the business to develop solutions for lifecycle management using the latest technologiesBe passionate about modern technologies and advocate for innovative approaches to existing systems or work practicesBe a mentor that enables team mates to grow and succeedPartner with product management, engineers and customer teams to capture requirements, plan feature delivery and deliver on designs and implementationLead and facilitate team design and solution discussionsWork as part of an agile software team to ensure engineering principles and quality are a core component of feature deliveryContribute ideas for continually improving the designs and scalability of the products and services deliveredWork in a high trust and innovative environment where teamwork is essentialAbout YouBasic Qualifications8+ years of experience in software development, designing for and programming in one or more of the following: Python, Golang, Ruby, Java etc.5+ years of web application design and development experience across HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript - including web frameworks like React or AngularExperience working with agile methodologies and principlesOther QualificationsFull stack development experience preferred in a large, distributed systems environmentExperience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes is a plusExperience leading features & design through implementation & support phasesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experienceAre you being referred to one of our roles?
