Bring your brightest version of you and have a brighter work day here.About the TeamThis Senior Employment Counsel will be joining our Employment Legal Team, which is part of Legal, Compliance and Corporate Affairs Organization of Workday.About the RoleWe are seeking a talented attorney who can apply discerning judgment when advising on sophisticated employment matters for APJ region!In this role, you'll partner with People & Purpose and other business functions to support our core values of innovation, customer service, integrity, and profitability, while ensuring that Workday maintains a culture of fairness, development and fun for its employees. Working closely with other members of the team you will:Counsel and provide guidance to People & Purpose team regarding employee relations issues (including employee performance, terminations, leaves of absence, and accommodation requests);Provide pragmatic advice to the business on domestic and international employment laws and matters;Draft and review various types of employment agreements;Manage administrative claims and litigation (e.g. discrimination, wage and hour, etc.);Conduct diligence and advise on mergers & acquisitionsAssist with employment-related projects, including review of internal procedures, new policies, and benefits.About YouYou thrive in a fast paced environment and are passionate about solving problems! A great team player who place high value on integrity, ownership and client service.Possess 4 - 6 years’ of diverse and high-quality, in-depth employment law experience in a leading law firm or as in-house employment counsel.Solid understanding and advisory skill on employment laws and matters across APJ.Other skills:Experience addressing and resolving complex and sensitive employee relations and compliance issuesAbility to independently determine and develop solutions to legal issues that are practical, clearly and timely communicated, and consistent with business objectivesExcellent written and oral communication skills, legal research skills, and interpersonal skillsJuris Doctor degree from a leading law schoolLicensed and in good standing to practice law Although not required, experience in the following areas will be viewed favorably:International employment lawCommissions and other incentive compensation plansNon-compete agreements (and related covenants)Immigration and visasAntitrust Issues in the employment contextPrivacy issues Workday is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.Are you being referred to one of our roles?
