The team is responsible for modernizing the CI/CD orchestration using industry leading technologies and maintaining a robust development and deployment infrastructure that services many large scale applications. Are you ready for your next great big step?!Responsibilities:Direct a team of dedicated CI/CD engineers responsible for building solutions to support software engineering and operations, servicing multiple development teamsModernize and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applicationsBuild self-service tools and automation to accelerate large scale application development and deployment, improving quality, efficiency, and developer productivityDefine effective SLIs and build an extensible observability architecture along with runbook automation to help ensure SLOs are achieved using tools such as Prometheus and GrafanaBuild and expand existing processes to provide visibility and metrics for infrastructure stability, service quality, team productivity and software qualityLead teams in software quality by building and managing automated e2e and performance testing infrastructureWork with security and auditors to ensure our teams and services follow security guidelines and recommendationsWork closely with Product Management, Workday Support, and Performance Teams to triage any production issues.Collaborate closely with the development managers by providing guidance in software reliability and quality early in the development processAbout YouBasic QualificationsMinimum 5 - 7+ years leading a technical team and/or experience with running software engineering teams5+ strong experience with software developmentMin 5-7+ years extensive experience in with one or more of the following coding languages: Java, Scala, Python, Golang, Javascript, C#, Typescript or React5+ years experience with infrastructure as code using Cloud Formation, Terraform, and Helm ChartsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related fieldExperience building reliable/scalable CI/CD pipelinesOther QualificationsDeep experience with planning, task estimation, prioritization and execution skillsHave an understanding of software architecture and ability to assess risk in early stages of developmentExperience working in a fast paced, highly responsive, agile team with constantly evolving requirements and architecturesAbility to communicate and collaborate in a multi-functional geographically distributed teamExperience with software development and application engineering in languagesExperience in production level support rotationsAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law.
