The team's primary goal is to ensure that the application can scale and perform efficiently as the user base grows.About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that the Financials application meets its performance goals, such as response time, scalability, reliability, and throughput. The performance engineer will work closely with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to identify performance issues and implement solutions to optimize the application's performance.Some of the key responsibilities and qualifications of a performance engineer in an application development team:Performance testing: Design and execute performance tests to identify bottlenecks, load test capacity, and identify system performance under stress.Performance analysis: Analyze test results to identify performance issues and make recommendations for improvement. This includes analyzing code, system architecture, and infrastructure.Performance optimization: Work with the development team to implement solutions to improve the application's performance. This could include modifying code, optimizing system architecture, and adjusting infrastructure settings.Monitoring: Set up performance monitoring tools and dashboards to track the application's performance in real-time and identify potential issues before they impact end-users.Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that performance requirements are built into the application from the outset.About YouQualifications:Basic Qualifications:8-10+ years of experience with Object/Class Modeling, Web application development4-5+ years of experience enhancing the performance and scalability of applicationsExperience in developing Enterprise applicationsExperience with setting up test environments with large volume data, benchmarking and testing application performance and scalability in large volume test environmentsOther Qualifications:Degree in Computer Science or equivalentOO design and development experienceExperience with XML and Integration technologies is a plusMust be a collaborative team player with good oral and written communication skillsExperience designing/developing business applications, knowledge of Financials is plusAnalytical mindset: should be able to analyze complex systems and identify performance issues.Communication skills: Performance engineers should be able to communicate performance issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with agile development methodologies: Performance engineers should be comfortable working in an agile development environment and have experience working in sprints with other team membersAre you being referred to one of our roles?
