Functions like Security Response, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Secure Code Development and many others make up the fabric of who we are and what we do daily around the world.About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Director to lead Workday's Emerging Threats organization that is passionate about solving sophisticated security challenges, building impactful teams, and protecting our customers. A strong background in security engineering, with years of experience leading Threat Intelligence and Red Team functions will be critical for success. You’ll help build cyber resilience by testing Workday’s defenses using the latest information gleaned from threat intelligence. You will join our fun, creative and dedicated leadership team collaborating with Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, Information Technology, and other security teams to drive the right outcomes and embrace our security culture. In addition, you will have the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.Do you have a passion for security? In this role, you will lead and develop a group of dedicated engineers across a number of teams who are focused on the development and deployment of a robust set of application security tools and services. As Director for Emerging Threats, you'll inspire teams that capture and develop Threat Intelligence and test our defenses rapidly. About YouBasic QualificationsMinimum of 7 years relevant security experience (threat intelligence, offensive security, pen-testing, security engineering)Minimum of 5 years team leadership experienceOther QualificationsLead threat intelligence based red and purple teaming exercises to validate and improve cyber resilience.Strong understanding of MITRE and Various Attack Frameworks.Drive continuous automation and improvement of threat detection and response, working closely with our Cyber Defense teams.Work directly with senior and executive leadership on threat intelligence briefings and red/purple team engagementsExperience with security tooling and platforms such as Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Zap, Nmap, Qualys, etc.Good interpersonal skills and a product focused mentality to build the right solutions for your customers.Experience delivering data driven solutions to further protect customers and data.Proven understanding of real world Threat Actor TTPs and bringing to bear technology to test cybersecurity defenses.Ability to handle multiple project streams and deliver timely resultsPractical experience in agile development processesAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law.
