Our team is building a Security Excellence Centre of the future to foster our customers' confidence in our platform. This means we are continually innovating our security tools capabilities in the areas of M/L, using NPL, Big Data and automation. We work hard and push each other to constantly improve, but in an environment that is supportive and based around collaboration and fun!About the RoleThis position is part of Workday's Cyber Defense Security Tools Engineering team and involves administration of the security tools with a focus on SIEM, SOAR and automation. You will be working closely with the cybersecurity response, network, and IT teams in coordinating and automating data on-boarding in SIEM and in Security Data Lake. This is a technical role with the expectation that you are proficient in Linux system administration and programming.The team you would be on designs, architects, administers and supports multi-terabyte per day Splunk clusters, SOAR platform, and Data Lakes. The team provides full-service support and Centre of Excellence (CoE) level mentorship to Workday’s internal teams and external customers.ResponsibilitiesSupport deployment and maintenance of our Splunk and Data Lake environmentsDesign and support the automated deployment of security infrastructure in both Data Centres and in Public CloudInstall, build and maintain Splunk, Cribl and related Apps and add-onsLead cross-team efforts with other internal organisationSupport On-call duties for a variety of security toolsLead key initiatives and goals for the Cyber Defense Security Tools Engineering teamAbout YouBasic Qualifications3+ years of experience in IT/SecurityProficiency in Linux administration (ideally RHEL/CentOS)Proficient skills in any config management tools, such as Chef, Ansible, or TerraformExperience with continuous integration tools (ideally Jenkins, Atlantis)Other QualificationsProgramming experience in PythonVersion Control System (ideally Git)Experience writing and supporting open-source toolsExperience working in any of the major cloud service providers – AWS, GCP.Basic understanding of Big DataExperience with Splunk administration is preferredB.S.
