It includes skilled colleagues in Design, Product Management, Development, Quality Assurance and more.About the RoleThis role offers the opportunity to be an early member of a new product team here at Workday.As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the team, you will be contributing to the development, architecture, and evolution of the Onboarding product. Your primary focus will be to develop and evolve the UI of multiple React applications. You will be implementing new components and features, creating delightful user experiences in close collaboration with our designers.You will be a key contributor in technical discussions, working closely with other engineers to determine the frontend and overall product architecture and tools. You will work closely with the Product Manager and designer on the team, offering technical expertise throughout the design and discovery process.Additionally, you will spend part of your time supporting other engineers, through regular code reviews and occasional pair programming.About YouYou are an experienced engineer, who loves to tinker and build new products. You have a solid understanding of agile product development and what it takes to bring a product from idea into the hands of customers.You have experience in developing complex single-page applications using React. You have an eye for detail, and love creating pixel perfect user interfaces that are functional, responsive and delightful to use.You are an effective communicator who can provide the right level of technical detail relevant to a particular audience. You are able to quickly and accurately break down, estimate, prioritize, and deliver projects of high technical complexity. You maintain ownership of your work from early development to evaluating how it performs in a production environment. Basic QualificationsComputer Science degree or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience working as a Frontend EngineerExpert knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScriptDeep knowledge of React/Redux and their underlying conceptsExtensive experience working with common web technologies, e.g. REST, JSON, GraphQL, HTTPS, WebSockets and similarOther QualificationsExperience using GraphQL in a production environmentDetail-oriented, focusing on writing maintainable code of high qualityRelies on automated testing at all levels of the applicationUsed to working in an agile team settingUsed to collaborating closely with product managers and business stakeholdersEnjoy solving complex user challenges using technology, and are able to effectively weigh pros and cons of various solutionsAre you being referred to one of our roles?
