This platform hosts many customer facing applications and is critical to the availability and performance of Workday products & services to its customers. Join us as we expand, improve, and automate our Private Cloud Platform while designing and implementing our next generation platform on Openstack.About the RoleResponsibilities:Build, enhance and maintain highly reliable and scalable hybrid cloud platformImprove Operational Efficiency by automating repetitive operational tasksBuild and maintain deep relationships with your peers, customers and stakeholders and deliver results through collaborationHave fun while delivering a highly reliable and scalable cloud platform for WorkdayAbout YouBasic Qualifications:Fluent in Linux (CentOS or similar)Experience with configuration management tools (Chef/Puppet/Ansible) and how to administer themExperience with large-scale distributed infrastructure systems; good understanding of Data Centers and provisioning/managing infrastructure resources (Compute/Network/Storage)Experience in programming languages like Python, Ansible or Java and scripting in the Linux environment6+ years of experience in the systems/software developmentBachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or related fieldOther Qualifications:Building foundational platforms that are highly reliable, available and scalable; proven experience supporting the platform in a 24x7 environmentExperience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CICD) and Infrastructure As Code (IAC)Knowledge of large-scale private cloud (Openstack) infrastructure is preferred.Knowledge of the public cloud is a plus.Networking - BGPttH, Calico & K8s NetworkingStorage - preferably CEPH (or) similarMonitoring tools - Prometheus, Grafana & Splunk.Strong experience in agile methodologiesProven track record of delivering results under challenging circumstancesSelf motivated with the ability to motivate others to achieve common goalsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAre you being referred to one of our roles?
