This team is responsible for building a new compiler, runtime, and proprietary language support for Workday’s application development teams. The team also works on source code transpilation, compiler optimization, transformation and code generation.Members of this team work on the foundation of the OMS Platform, including language runtime, data federation, data scrambling, and user activity logging. We build highly robust, performant, and scalable representation of tenanted data and manage its changes in memory and at rest. We address unique challenges as Workday onboards larger customers and scales with rapidly growing business needs, while minimizing operational costs.About the RoleAs a Software Development Engineer on the Runtime Environment team, you will help build and evolve our application runtime and associated tooling.Contribute ideas for continually improving the team's productivity, happiness, and code quality.Collaborate with architects, engineers and technical product managers to analyze functional requirements, implement designs that provide scalability, low latency, and high availability.Be responsible for system performance and stability by proactively identifying and diagnosing issues and rapidly deploying code to address production issues.Be an evangelist of our technologies and products.
