Since everyone gets paid and customer input is essential, we take it seriously that we and our customers are in step in our journeys.About the RoleWorkday Payroll pays millions of workers - workers from all types of companies and in this role, you will discover, analyze, design, and deliver innovative payroll features that customers want to use. You will lead strategic projects, deliver on key achievements, and develop product strategies by evaluating customer, competitive and market data to understand the market dynamics. You will build great energized teams by engaging with software engineers, quality assurance engineers, and customers. Your connections to strategic goals, market trends, and product vision will provide you the tools to build successful product roadmaps.Your role would be:Learn Workday Payroll and identify new areas for product feature development and process improvement by analyzing customer requirements, market trends and competitive gapsCollaborate with partners across the business (e.g., executives, other product teams etc.), integrate requirements into the product roadmap and provide accurate timelines and project statusPartner with Software Engineering, UX, Quality Assurance, and Content teams to coordinate development, and roll-out of new customer experiences on multiple surfaces.Build performance indicators, and processes to measure the efficiency of the experiences we are delivering and be able to see opportunities for further optimizationConduct meetings and design sessions with external customers translating into product requirements and product visionCreate and present product demonstrations to external and internal customers in different forumsAbout YouYou can quickly synthesize information from many sources and move the team forward. You know how to use customer research, prioritize continuously, and use data to support decisions. You are both a process champion, problem solver and you are motivated to 'get things done!'Basic Qualifications3+ years Product Management, Business Analysis experience2+ years product owner experience or working closely with product manager to translate customer and market needs into product featuresOther QualificationsA keen awareness and passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in businessCollaboration and having fun are foundational to your work ethicYou lean into new situations and welcome the opportunity to learnThe aim to lead, own, and advocate for customersProven success in working with product teams – leading collaboration with engineering, UX, project management & product teams; making products that deliver results.Shown success in driving the entire product lifecycle, from identifying market problems and defining solutions to launching and conducting post-launch evaluations and ongoing improvements.Experience Mapping user journeys through journey mapping or story map techniques and writing user stories / acceptance criteriaExcellent communication and presentation abilities and able to communicate to various partners and people of multifaceted abilitiesProven experience in payroll and the desire to learn more payrollMaintains a validated understanding of the payroll processing life cycleAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer.
