You’ll play a key role in Payroll Processing using Workday Payroll system and/or preparing monthly international payroll instructions to third party vendors as well as support internal international payroll projects.  Working closely with the greater International Payroll team, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to both third party vendors and Workday partners regarding integrated solutions and implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, payroll, project management, implementation and problem solving. This role requires a self-motivated professional that consistently brings a high level of dedication to projects and Workday teammates along with the ability to strategically and tactically navigate the unique challenges that innovation brings.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll with strong data integrityPrepare monthly payroll instructions for international payroll third party vendorsAudit payroll results from third-party payroll providers, or from the Workday payroll system to ensure accuracyPrepare monthly journal entries and assist with balance sheet reconciliation queries for payroll accountsFamiliarity with and follow SOX controls for the international payroll processAssist with payroll and statutory audits as neededPrepare year-end documentation as requiredTrack new hires, terminations, and employee changes and audit accuracy for respective country payroll resultsEnsure direct deposit and tax details are established for new employeesEnsure feedback and solution to employee’s queries connected with internal payrollPrepare and maintain international payroll process documentationLead internal projects to migrate third party payroll providers to integrated solutions with Workday partnersSupport cross functional projects with payroll partners.  LOA, Time, Benefits ImplementationsReconcile payroll taxes and resolve tax notices to ensure payroll regulatory filings are completed accurately and on timePartner with other Workday teams to design and implement cross-functional process improvements, uptake new system functionality and support initiatives that scale with business growthAbout YouBasic Qualifications5+ years accounting, finance, tax, or payroll experienceBachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field of study; extensive direct payroll experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeOther QualificationsFrance Payroll or experience with APAC payroll is highly desiredExperience with international accounting a plusWorkday Payroll software experience a plusProject Management or Implementation experience preferredDemonstrates initiative, flexibility and follow-throughStrong planning, organizational and time-management skillsAttention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsWorks well within tight deadlinesCollaborative team player; ability to work in cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership skills#LI-MC3As a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer.
