You will focus on feature development and enhancement to support compliance, tax and integration needs of US and Canada payroll products. You will grow and empower your team to help drive innovation, prioritize quality, execute flawlessly, and align with Workday’s strategic vision to deliver. North America payroll products are a major contributor to Workday’s revenue and are critical to meet the goal of reaching $10B revenue by 2026. About YouIn this critical leadership role you will partner with your counterparts to deliver on product vision and roadmap. You will drive technical initiatives and empower your teams to innovate and continuously deliver critical payroll features and functionalities around tax calculation, wage garnishment, compliance changes, tax filing integrations, and year-end activities. You will grow and serve a team of 25+ software engineers and leaders to build, enhance and maintain US and Canada Payroll products. Basic Qualifications8+ years experience of managing large software development teams 15+ years of OO software design and development experienceBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldOther Qualifications:Proven to have strong communication, collaboration and facilitation skillsProven record of building trust and credibility with engineers, peers and cross functional team membersAgile software development experienceTrack record of delivering highly complex enterprise application product at scaleAbility to think strategically and execute with urgencyExperience in recruiting, growing and mentoring engineers with diverse seniorityAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiencesSupport team members by ensuring a psychologically safe environmentExperience in Payroll application development is a plusExperience of Workday integration connectors is a plusExperience in tax and compliance feature development is a plusAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
