We do this while having loads of fun in a cordial and supportive work environmentAbout the RoleThe Senior Manager will lead a team of engineers including ML engineers, data engineers along with ML OPS engineers to create machine learning and data platform / solutions to provide best in class experience for our customers. Operate as a thought leader and visionary, with the ability to guide/architect/deliver an ML platform and influence across data science/engineering and analytical functions. This position will work with data scientist and engineers to build a platform to effectively train and operationalize algorithms and models. Key Responsibilities: • Be the thought leader for the entire data team in PUNE, India for everything data, and establish a culture of collaborative excellence• Ensure successful delivery of the ML products milestone. • Develop the Feature engineering & ML/Ops roadmap using the most appropriate technologies including Feature Store, manage, and expand ML & data teams to support growth.• Communicate with product management and engineering teams on problem definition and present findings in easily understood ways • Mentor and develop the technical and business skills of ML Ops and data engineers. • Define best practices and articulate a clear vision for how data pipelines, ML pipelines should be developed and operationalized• Partners with the product team to help inform the priorities within a set of products, applications, and/or services • Manages ML engineers who design, build and maintain ML Pipeline solutions within a set of technology products and/or services• Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management • Resolves escalated issues throughout the development, configuration, and modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions • Creates and/or leads the creation of SOPs, KPIs, and overall operationalization of assigned services or applications • Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments About YouBasic Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience with 2+ years leadership experience, including experience leading ML engineering and data analytics. • Track record of successfully recruiting, developing and retaining top talent from leading organizations. • Strong background and hands-on experience with software development in complex production-quality software in python, Java and SQL. Expert in one of Cloud ML Solutions like GCP, Databricks , H2O• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dataflow• Comfortable with CI/CD Pipelines• Experience with Git version control, and other software adjacent tools • Comprehensive knowledge of data platform architecture, data modeling, database optimization, data management practices and processes. • Strong understanding of agile software development principles. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent.
