This position requires passion, courage, tenacity, imagination and a willingness to see beyond what is ordinarily possible.About the RoleStrategic Initiatives Planning and ExecutionSupport the CTO in developing and driving critical initiatives and programs that can span not only across the Product & Technology organization but also across other parts of the Workday businessHelp set and lead strategy for Core Platform organization and support SVP in defining, articulating, and altering strategy in accordance with company-wide objectivesConduct research for key projects, including, but not limited to, investment opportunities, innovation opportunities, technology processes, and overall business improvementsAdvise leaders and key product teams on overall Strategy direction, presentations and initiativesOperations ManagementServe as the primary liaison for critical Corporate Functions including People & Purpose (HR), Talent Acquisition (Recruiting), Finance, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development (M&A), etcDrive and own adoption and execution of OKRs across the leadership team tying to overall Product & Technology and Workday-wide OKRsSupport executive reporting on key risks, issues, budget, and metricsPromote operational excellence: identifying and driving opportunities to optimize our organizational systems and processes with a focus on agilityCommunicationsOrganize and run key meetings within Core Platform including Staff meetings, Leadership Offsites, Town Halls, etcEstablish and own internal Communications strategy within the organization, across Workday and to external partnersCultivate close relationships with and gain the trust of senior partners across Product & Technology, as well as the Customer Experience, Marketing, and Sales organizations in order to align business objectives and work effectively togetherSupport SVP/CTO with preparation for key customer/prospect meetings, internal presentations in partnership with Executive Communications and Solutions Marketing teamsAct as key point of contact for SVP/CTO and P&T organization communicating our strategy and differentiation for Machine Learning/Artificial IntelligenceTalent Management and Leadership SupportSupport the CTO in building and maintaining a successful technology organization, including recruitment, retention, and professional developmentAssist in performance management, goal setting, and succession planning for the technology teamServe as representative for SVP/CTO in various meetings, and forums as appropriateAdvise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretionAbout YouBasic Qualifications- Sr Director, Program Management 8+ years of relevant experience in product management, business operations, strategy, consulting, program management or equivalentBA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferredBasic Qualifications- Director, Program Management6+ years of relevant experience in product management, business operations, strategy, consulting, program management or equivalentBA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferredOther QualificationsConsistent record of delivering resultsA deep understanding of the technology industry, trends, and standard methodologiesExperience in working closely with executive-level leadershipAbility to learn quickly within a fast-paced team, including highly technical topicsUtterly organized and meticulous with a love for creating order out of chaosIntellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindsetStrong influencing skills, with a reputation for getting things done effectivelyTeam-player with ability to dig into the details as well as see the big pictureStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and effectively influence at all levels of an organizationIntegrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential informationAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
