Senior Director of PlatformRemoteYou will be part of the Engineering team at ServiceTitan responsible for the technical development of our product. Over 50,000 people depend on our software to perform all their daily activities.We are looking for a Senior Director to build, lead, and manage all aspects of our platform engineering teams.  The platform engineering teams are crucial to the success of ServiceTitan and critical to allow us to scale 10x.  The scope of impact ranges from external developers, to internal engineering teams, to foundational features for end-users.   The Senior Director will be essential for managing competing priorities and delivering a quality platform on time to all stakeholders.  The Senior Director will also determine, own, and communicate the platform strategy and vision to the entire Engineering organization.  We need a technically capable, forward-looking, experienced leader who own the technical vision of an organization and be accountable for the delivery of that vision. We also desire someone who can balance rapid iteration and development with long term strategic thinking and who is innovative, confident, and comfortable with ambiguity.What you’ll doWork with Talent Acquisition and ST Leadership to hire a strong team of engineers and leaders.Manage multiple teams of engineers - set the bar on performance, identify and enable key processes, manage priorities, and clarify long-term goalsIdentify and Drive organizational improvements through partnerships with other Directors and Engineering Managers across EngineeringPartner with Engineering Leadership to ensure your goals are aligned with Engineering and Company goalsWork with Product Management to build quality features for our customers and balance engineering needs with product needsCommunicate effectively across the engineering and R&D organizationsCoach and Mentor Engineering Managers and grow our engineering talent at ServiceTitanMature and Deliver platform capabilities that allow ServiceTitan to rapidly increase velocity while maintaining high-availability.   What you’ll bring:6+ years of managing medium-sized software development teams responsible for development, testing, and production support.3+ years managing managers of engineering teams3+ years of experience delivering external or internal platform capabilities as a leaderExpertise in the software development lifecycleStrong knowledge of public cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)Strong communication and technical-writing skillsB.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.Be Human With Us:Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role is between $221,000 - $317,000. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
