The Billing and Contract Manager will oversee the billing and contract functions within Aspire and be instrumental in developing process improvements as the company grows.This role reports to the Director of Finance.What You’ll Do: Directly supervise billing functions including developing, retaining, and motivating team members.Ensure customer contract compliance, thorough documentation of customer contracts and economic terms, including non-standard contacts and billing exceptions.Streamline contracting process, including working cross functionally with sales, legal, and finance to standardize process and identify exceptions as needed.Oversee timely and accurate billing to customers monthly.Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including questions related to contracts and billing inquiries. Work with external auditors on revenue controls and testing, as needed.Partner with internal IT team to automate and improve existing billing processes, including potential billing system conversions.Manage accounts receivable processes including accounts receivable aging, customer collections, and customer terminations.Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to existing billing and contract processes.What You’ll Need: Experience supervising a B2B (business-to-business) billing function, including hiring, training, and managing personnel.Experience with contract management within the billing function, including contract compliance, assisting with contract changes, and contract implications on billing.Excellent oral and written communications, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Highly organized, detailed oriented, and problem-solver mindset.Ability to work cross-functionally with internal partners on initiatives impacting billing and contracting.Process-oriented mindset, comfortable navigating through change and implementing new processes. Self-starter, able to identify problem areas, brainstorm, and present recommended solutions.Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to different and potentially complex situations.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in preferably Business, Accounting or Finance.Five (5) plus years of supervisory experience in billing, ideally in a B2B setting.Experience with Quickbooks, Workday Financials, and/or equivalent billing software.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Where You’ll Work:Our headquarters is located in Chesterfield in St. Louis County; however, some local positions will be remote until the time is right to return to the office while other roles are more office-based.
