Job Summary:Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade in the heart of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, has redefined the destination entertainment experience. Following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as “one of the most incredible places on Earth,” by Rolling Stone, we’ve stacked the deck for a truly unforgettable experience.With three levels spanning nearly 80,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest music venues in America. Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 32 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Review menus and prepare food neededAssure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with company procedures and federal, state and local health codes and regulationsCoordinate food service with other departments as necessaryFollow all sanitation guidelinesBecome familiar with new menu items/dishesSet up and stocking stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staffAnswer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructionsClean up station and take care of leftover foodStock inventory appropriatelyEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashionComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersNON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; military school or formal on the job training preferred. Training from a culinary school will be an assetExperience with quantity food preparation preferredKnowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchenManual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensilsA team player with good communication skillsPatient with an ability to stay positive under pressureVery good physical condition and enduranceDemonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipesKnowledge of proper nutritional requirementsListening: Line cooks need to be able to hear and understand specific instructions from their chefsManual Dexterity: Line cooks will be using their hands to cut and chop food, as well as other tasksStamina: Everyone in the kitchen works long hours on their feet over hot stoves and grills. Stamina is neededTeamwork: Line cooks are part of a team, and in a stressful, fast-paced environment, being a team player and level-headed will help immenselyMust have a state issued Health CardAvailability to work all shifts, during weekends and eveningsMust adhere to all safety measures and policies.COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions.THE PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW ARE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION.
