Job Summary:Company: Merch TrafficDepartment: FinanceLocation: Kings Cross, LondonReports to: Head of FinanceContract Type: Full time, permanentRole DescriptionWe sell merchandise products for the World’s leading artists in the Music & Entertainment industry and your role is reporting these sales to the appropriate fiscal authorities as well as helping our management team in their financial reporting requirements. This requires accurate and timely reporting. You will learn about our exciting products and learn how to treat each product for each territory. You will also be able to see the products in our offices as well as at our live events and the various other channels we sell into.The TeamWe are a major player in the Music & Entertainment industry, and we have an enthusiastic and highly motivated team dedicated to delivering a range of traditional and novel merchandise products necessary to promote the band / performer. It’s a small team so you will be noticed and soon be an integral part of that team.Core Skills / KnowledgeExperience in preparing UK VAT returns is advantageous.Experience in preparing Intrastat, ESL and foreign VAT reporting is a major advantage.Part qualified or newly qualified accounting professional or QBE (qualified by experience).Excel Skills – Intermediate level. Data will be require extraction / sorting / cleansing and analysis. Core Excel skills includes Pivot Tables, [VLookup] and [HLookup]. If candidate can use the [INDEX MATCH] function this would an advantage.Data analysis skills are an advantage.Daily TasksPreparation of Intrastat reports for each territory we report to. The candidate will need to be able to identify the correct commodity codes.
