Our paid, part-time Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. The Accounting Internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real world experience with a company that produces festivals and live events.This is a paid, in-person internship reporting to the Sr Accounting Manager. Applicants should be in the Austin area during employment to be considered.Responsibilities:Enters dataMaintains accounting filesMakes bank deposits and runs other accounting errandsPrepares and records journal entries.Sorts mailPerforms accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsAudits reports and billing statementsResearches vendor inquiriesOther duties, projects and events as assignedLearning Objectives:Learn about daily accounting tasks and activities; integrate theory and practiceAssess interests and abilities in accountingDevelop work habits and attitudes necessary for job successDevelop communication and interpersonal skillsDevelop problem solving skillsQualifications:Able to work 15-20 hours per weekPrevious experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)Pursuing a degree in Accounting/Finance or related fieldCreative thinker and problem solverExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAcute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacyA strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programsMicrosoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skillsC3 Core CompetenciesDemonstrate integrity in the way you operate in day-to-day business and the way you deal with peopleCommunicate effectively with various audiences by organizing and delivering information appropriately and listening actively to othersProactively seek solutions to problems.  Be enthusiastic and energetic in your approach to your job.  Commit to putting in extra effort with a positive attitude.Be flexible in handling change, able to juggle multiple demands, and adaptable to new situations with fresh ideas or innovative approachesStay composed, confident, optimistic, and in problem-solving mode when the going gets toughPossess the skills needed to perform your job well, paying close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
