Reports to the Legal Manager. On-site job based in the local office in São Paulo, Brazil. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DOLead implementation of strategic tax planning (direct and indirect) and drive discussions with business partners related to risk and rewards of business decisions. Establish strategies to minimize tax expense and exposures regarding taxes paid for federal, state, and city. Build relationships with internal Tax, Finance, Legal, HR, and business leaders as well as external advisors to ensure complete and timely flow of information and effective resolution of tax matters. Assist with income tax matters, including data gathering, research and analysis of applicable tax laws, and ensuring company compliance with tax reporting/filing requirements. Advise cross-functional teams and other departments on the tax impacts of business transactions. Compose correspondence, opinions and memoranda involving all areas of federal, state and local, and international taxation. Oversee audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings Provide timely updates to management on tax law changes impacting the company and effectively manage the required changes to processes and controls mandated by those changes to the law. Business support: Identify relevant tax issues, conducting necessary tax / legal research to address it, and engaging external counsel to provide specific tax advice Oversee all ongoing tax processes conducted by several Law Firms. Oversee, liaise, and fulfil requirements of any external tax audit. CONSUMER CLAIMS Respond to Consumer Claims and oversee cases conducted by Law Firms. Provide litigation support for consumer matters.  Provide advice so that Live Nation to promote best practices and prevent future lawsuits. Interact as needed with Procons, Codecons, ReclameAqui and other consumer entities to ensure a positive perception of company actions towards consumer rights. Act at hearings and administrative appeals to respond and present defense for consumer claims. WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRINGRequired: Education: Juris Doctor required; LL.M. in Tax preferred The candidate should have at least 6 years of relevant tax experience with a law firm, Big 4 firm, or in industry, with specific responsibility for tax controversy matters, planning and advice.  Experience in Accounting preferred. Current or past experience with Consumer Cases. Knowledge of accounting is a plus. Full fluency in English Strong verbal and written communication skills and pro-active personality including ability to interact effectively with all levels of management. Strong ownership and accountability skills. Strong technical tax, research and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite and tax law research resources. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.  You will be working in an inclusive environment and be encouraged to bring your whole self to work.  We will do all that we can to help you successfully balance your work and homelife.  As a growing business we will encourage you to develop your professional and personal aspirations, enjoy new experiences, and learn from the talented people you will be working with.  It’s talent that matters to us and we encourage applications from people irrespective of their gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability status or caring responsibilities.Live Nation strongly supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants regardless of age (40 and over), ancestry, color, religious creed (including religious dress and grooming practices), family and medical care leave or the denial of family and medical care leave, mental or physical disability (including HIV and AIDS), marital status, domestic partner status, medical condition (including cancer and genetic characteristics), genetic information, military and veteran status, political affiliation, national origin (including language use restrictions), citizenship, race, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and medical conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding), gender, gender identity, and gender expression, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law, rule, ordinance or regulation.  We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act and consistent with other similar and / or applicable laws in other areas.We also afford equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with a disability.
