Be the Conduit of all information between Front of House and Back of HouseResponsibilities:Perform Opening/Running/Closing/Weekly dutiesClean and stock line to par throughout shiftKeep line neat and clean throughout the shiftKeep floor neat, clean and free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shiftMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shiftMaintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standardsPlate PreparationEnsure all orders are to HOB specificationGarnish all plates per menu descriptionsCoordinate plates with ticketsCoordinate hot and cold ordersEnsure that special order instructions have been followedEnsure that food is delivered to tables in timely mannerWrap “to go” itemsAssist in delivering food to tables, as neededServe as a link between front and back of house, communicating necessary information in a direct and concise mannerExplain modifiers to kitchen staffMaintain specials and “out of stock” informationCommunicate information to Manager on Duty regarding ticket timesCommunicate any guest requests and comments to proper serverAssist other employees as neededAssist servers in food deliveryAssist bussers when time allowsAttend pre-shift meeting conducted by Manager on Duty prior to start of each shiftQualifications:Required:(State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or EquivalentHigh volume kitchen operationsFood Service as either an Expeditor or Server in a high volume environmentExceptional communication skillsSense of UrgencyTime ManagementKitchen sanitation standardsCritical thinking and decision makingPreferred:Point of Sales experiencePhysical Demands/Working Environment:Work environment is fast-pacedPosition requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetMust be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
