Job Summary:Frank Productions is looking for a full-time Venue Manager at the Orpheum. We’re a full-service concert promotion company involved in every facet of live entertainment events. This includes talent buying, production, ticketing, marketing, sponsorships, venue operations and more. We produce and promote events in arenas, performing arts centers, theaters, clubs and other venues across the U.S. We operate offices and venues in Madison, WI, Nashville, TN, Columbia, MO and Charleston, SC.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the overall management, communication, and connectivity of venue operations and staff for assigned venuesServe as main point of contact with shared services for venue specific needsCoordinate, schedule, and lead front of house and security staffAdvance and settle shows as neededCreate and implement procedures that ensure guest, employee, artist, and venue safetyFacilitate the effective guarding, patrolling, and monitoring of venue premises to prevent theft, violence, and other risksManage the expenditure of venue resources according to company policies and proceduresMaintain the assigned building through general facilities management and maintenance dutiesDevelop and implement procedures to improve both operations and the financial performanceEnsure venue cleaning schedules are followed and venue is presentableResponsible for upkeep and oversight on show reports and ROME settlements for assigned venueCoordinate parking bag placement and record keeping as neededAssist and coordinate special event set up and ops plans as neededProcure, deploy, and maintain security equipment in order to meet the security department objectives and budgetCoordinate sponsorship activations as neededMaintain and oversee operations for ingress and egress of the venuesLiaise with appropriate investigative and public safety agencies on matters related to operations, planning, and preventionProvide guidance and direction in the handling of internal or external concernsCollaborate and work closely with Venue Director, Bar Manager, Box Office Manager, and Tech Manager to ensure seamless communication and cooperation in overall venue operationsUpkeep and maintenance of surveillance systemComplete appropriate reports related to front of house operationsEnsure Security and Box Office are prepared and able to perform their dutiesHave a working knowledge of the ticketing system to trouble-shoot problems, as neededMaintain a working climate that attracts, retains, and motivates quality personnelEnsure the organization’s mission, values, commitments, goals and culture are upheld and practicedFacilitate and ensure a teamwork-oriented environment and culture for assigned venueAll other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Applicable experience with Production, project management, customer relations, and similar skillsAbility to direct a team with leadership qualities that exemplify respect, integrity, teamwork and qualityWillingness to work unconventional hours as job duties demandWillingness to travel, as job duties demandAbility to handle difficult situations in a professional mannerAbility to work independently and solve problems using sound decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively in a team environment that includes in-person collaboration, group e-mails, and instant messagingAbility to adapt and be flexibleStrong verbal and written communication skillsCommitted to learning, and fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusionProficient with Microsoft OfficeThis position is expected to work forty (40) hours per week or more.
