The Finance Transformation and Cloud ERP team is embedded within our Controllership organization that represents all partners across Finance on our transformation journey. This transformation includes the implementation of Workday Financials, modernization of our Coupa platform to include vendor invoicing functionality and the implementation of a new indirect tax engine for revenue and spend and a new e-invoicing platform for revenue. This team directly supports #3 of our Corporate Strategy to build streamlined, automated, intelligent and efficient processes with modern technology.Your Impact as a member of the Indirect Tax workstream:This position will work in a fast-paced, high growth environment with aggressive timelines and contending priorities.The candidate must have solid foundation and understanding of global and localized (EMEA, APAC and LATAM) tax processes in the Source to Pay (S2P) function focused around Tax Compliance Requirements, including withholding and e-Invoicing. Clear understanding of Revenue (Order to Cash) Tax, a plus.Additionally, the candidate should have a sound understanding of business impacts to upstream and downstream functions like Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Reporting.This position will require creativity and critical thinking to challenge the status quo to envision “the art of the possible” through out-of-the-box functionality within the Indirect Tax Engine, Workday, Coupa and Salesforce systems as we drive toward our goals of simplified technology architecture and reduced manual controls.The position will work across functional teams to identify dependencies and bring attention to risks associated with the work of other functional teams.Business partnerships and communication will be essential across the Tax, Controllership, Revenue Operations, IT, and the SOX/Compliance organizations.The position will also work with external business integrator and systems integrator within the Indirect Tax and other workstreams.This position will work with the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation and Cloud ERP leading all aspects of the AP Invoicing/Tax, Payments and Expense for the overall Cloud ERP initiative.Responsibilities:Coordinates and collaborates with business partners across Tax, Source to Pay (S2P), accounting, SOX/Compliance, business technology and integration partner teams to meet business needsRepresents the business point of view when designing and collaborating with business integrator, system integrator and business technology teamWorks with various business advisors to assist in delivering world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexibleDevelop “to be” processes considering Tax Engine, Coupa & Workday out-of-the-box functionality. Provide recommendations and follow through with communication and implementation of new processes.Provides critical input and insight into Indirect Tax system requirements for S2P based on process knowledge and future state visionIdentifies and prioritize use casesCoordinates timing of process owner testing efforts and complete unit testing and end-to-end testing. Provides support for user acceptance testingInfluences decision making and outcomes to improve business valueCommunicates and calls out blockers in a timely manner and proposes possible remedies to overcomeCommunicates status of project to multi-functional team members and managementParticipates on internal process improvement initiatives to improve reporting, analytical tools, and technical aspects of business procedures and practicesEnsure operational risks are mitigated in process designDesign, document and implement controls associated with the business processes in order to improve our SOX environmentExperience/Skills Required:Ability to work with remote management and business partnersBachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business/Accounting/Finance3+ years of operational experience in handling Tax related business processes using a Indirect Engine like Vertex/Thomson Reuters/Avalara in conjunction with an ERP application. EMEA, APAC and LATAM experience in Source to Pay area is helpfulStrong oral and written communication skills are essentialAbility to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, tackle problems, scope business requirements, and prioritizeAbility to identify gaps between desired future state and system functionality and recommend viable alternative options and solutionsExperience in highly complex global organization operating within large scale ERP systemsExperience in SOX control design and knowledge of SOX documentation and executionStrong collaboration and teamwork skills requiredRemains adaptable and flexible.
