We work with agencies with a diverse set of issues around security, compliance, risk as well as emerging technology and trends. This is a highly technical and customer-facing role with most of its impact focused on the success of our customers. There must be a strong desire to leverage both technical and sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value, often using configuration or light coding to tailor the demonstration to the audience.We look for technical professionals who can “own” the conversation on Salesforce's Privacy, Security and Compliance posture. The role of a Security & Compliance Architect is to work with our sales teams and customers to:Understand a customer's risk, security or compliance concerns and communicate how Salesforce's infrastructure, architecture and application features can address these concernsApply knowledge of cyber and information security regulation and legislation (specifically FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, as well as industry frameworks, such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001/27002) to address customer concerns around risk, data privacy or Salesforce's compliance postureWork with a variety of technical organizations within Salesforce - including Technology Compliance, Technology & Product and Engineering teamsHave strong understanding of network security, general engineering principles, cryptography, data in transit, and other technical aspects to assist in in-depth conversations with IT/CIO conversationsPartner with sales teams to remove security as a blocker by speaking to CISOs, CIOs and other key decision makersUnderstand current and emerging cyber security risks, and innovative risk management methods and eloquently communicate to customersScale the role through external and internal education and enablement effortsLead hands-on technical workshops and education sessionsYour Impact :Having fun and getting out of your comfort zone on a daily basisPresent Salesforce's cloud infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with Salesforce's hardware, software, networking and security stackOpportunity to speak at industry conferencesBuild and present customized demosFeed back customer requirements and use cases to Product Managers and Product Marketers to influence product strategy and optimize product-market fitBuild deep relationships and provide thought leadership in our customer base to become a Trusted AdvisorConstantly learning, absorbing new information daily, and having a keen focus on how to best discuss complex, technical problems with customersAssist customers understand how the cloud and Salesforce can meet their security needsPart of a highly motivated sales team who are fanatical about our customers’ successComfortable working with clients at all levels - it is just as important to work with the front line as the CIO and CTOWilling to learn how to configure our technology to build demonstrations that will show off the power of Salesforce’s platformAdding to our broader team's point of view and base of knowledge and understandingResponsibilities:Work with Account Teams to develop and execute on the best sales strategy for opportunitiesAdvise CIO/CTO/CXO level contacts, their departments, and IT teams as they look to move their business to a cloud architectureEngage with clients, partners and internal deal teams to present Salesforce 's technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with company's PaaS, infrastructure and securityUnderstand the customer needs, establish salesforce leadership, and demonstrate Salesforce's products as the best solution that addresses the technical and business requirementsWork closely with other elements of the Salesforce , e.g. alliances, sales effectiveness, product marketing, etc. to develop and execute internal and external programs and initiativesParticipate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the positionWilling and able to travelRequired Skills: Ability to think strategically and to advise companies on opportunities to transform their organizations based on cloud computing innovationsCapacity to track many industry and internal information sources and stay current on the latest in changing technologies.
