We are Customer Zero, the best example of Salesforce products delivered globally, at scale, sustainably.Salesforce’s Business Technology (BT) organization is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to join BT’s Strategy & Operations team to operationalize the CIO’s workforce strategy and drive operational excellence within BT’s Vendor Management Office. We are looking for someone who can stand up and establish an IT VM Office, drive supplier best practices across our IT function, and improve supplier quality and strengthen these partnerships. This role will lead a team of category managers and VMO operations analysts to deliver day to day vendor management activities related to performance management, service management, demand management, and reporting. You will work closely with teams within BT including functional IT leaders, risk management and workforce planning, as well as key partners across the enterprise like Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Security, to execute on key VMO initiatives. This role will report to the VP, Business Technology Strategy & Operations.This is an office-flexible role for Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA. In office expectations are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall vendor management strategy for BT; responsible for combining knowledge of internal business demand, external IT market trends, BT operating model, and BT workforce strategy to develop a comprehensive, forward looking strategyDevelop overall team charter and key priorities for the BT VMO team; Define and deliver the BT VMO roadmapDefine and activate the VMO operating model, including RACI and interaction model that outlines how the VMO works with external and internal partnersEffectively collaborate with BT leadership (including executives) and key internal partners to understand overall business strategy and gauge upcoming demand; partner with key leaders to develop business and financial case for new engagement models (managed service providers)Lead a team focused on day to day vendor engagement, escalations, identifying new opportunities with business partners, and reporting on and managing vendor performanceDefine VMO and supplier key performance indicators and oversee VMO Ops lead to build and implement a plan for ongoing measurementManage key partners, collaborators and strategic supplier relationships; includes ongoing 1:1s with key partners, monthly interactions with strategic partners, vendor scorecards, and monthly/quarterly updates for the internal VMO communityProvide monthly updates to executive BT leadership on vendor performance, key metrics, and progress on key programs and initiativesLead and drive development and adoption of BT VMO governance, tools, guidance, and processesRequired Skills:10+ years relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: IT vendor management, workforce management (with strong background in managing contingent workforce)Extensive experience and knowledge with IT outsourcing lifecycle, including the ability to gather/articulate business requirements for RFPs/RFIsKnowledge of and experience with major outsourcing providersCan work in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environmentStrong communications, collaboration, and consensus building skills, particularly with senior IT leadershipExperience with developing and presenting use cases to senior leadershipExperience driving strategy into execution and leading complex programsExceptional leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate managersStrong understanding of industry standards, business strategy and regulatory requirementsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPlanning and organization skills to facilitate goal-settingCreative approach to build new, effective VMO solutionsEmpathetic and supportive leader with a deep interest in people management and effective teamingDemonstrates the Salesforce values of trust, operational excellence, and equalitySalesforce, the Customer Success Platform and world's #1 CRM, empowers companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way.
