Our team is seeking an experienced manager to lead our analytics team and drive data-driven decision-making across our real estate portfolio. We are seeking a Director, Real Estate Compliance to join our Real Estate Strategy & Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the entire real estate lifecycle, from strategy to transactions and project delivery through ongoing operations. This role requires excellent financial compliance skills as well as process efficiency in order to drive operational excellence throughout our global portfolio. They will directly supervise the real estate accounting operations team, sublease operations team, and headcount planning process for REWS while maintaining cross-functional collaboration with internal REWS, our Salesforce partners including Corporate Accounting, SEC and Finance & Strategy teams, and external partners including third party providers. The Director, Real Estate Compliance will report to the Vice President, Real Estate Strategy & Business Operations.ResponsibilitiesManage and lead all aspects of third party service provider's administration of sublease operations and subtenant coordination including reconciliation of subtenant accountsPartner with Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate teams to understand and supervise monthly real estate activity and produce complete and accurate financial reporting and forecasting for real estate activitiesPartner with key real estate functions including Workplace Services, Project Delivery & Design, TransactionsBuild high-value business partnerships across the organization, ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of the business and inspire change to efficiently connect with our Salesforce partners;Identify and complete the implementation of operational improvements to automate and scale real estate operationsLeverage existing data sources to develop dashboard reporting on key metrics to monitor the financial and operational performance of the real estate portfolio, workplace services operations, and other key functions against budget and industry benchmarksImplement and amend appropriate policies, procedures, controls and supervising to ensure company-wide compliance with applicable internal standards;Provide oversight for real estate to the company headcount planning process including compliance with approved headcount plan;Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies in connection with new projects, subleases, and operating expenses of buildings;Lead the performance strategy of key vendor partners; providing oversight and review of KPI’s;Partner with procurement and vendor partners to ensure contracts reflect current services; andBe the point of contact for internal and external audits.Requirements: Education, Experience, and Key SkillsUnderstanding of corporate real estate process including the lease administration and payment processProven experience of supporting and driving major initiatives across a diverse, geographically dispersed, multicultural environment while encouraging effective relationships across all levels of the organizationExcellent presentation skillsOutstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strong general business discernment (finance, operations) and ability to distill sophisticated issues, develop solutions and implement effective strategiesAbility to develop and communicate financial objectives, encourage and empower distributed teams and maintain alignment to the business strategiesOutstanding analytical and organizational skills while having attention to detailStrong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as in a leadership role with proven track record to maintain composure under pressureAbility to think strategically and act in a detailed, hands-on manner while operating in a high impact, results focused, fast-paced environmentEffectively collaborate across multiple teams (e.g. Finance, Accounting) and within the Real Estate organizationDegree or equivalent relevant experience required.
