You will possess considerable skills and abilities as a solution consultant and architect with demonstrated proficiencies in guiding organizations through Digital Transformation, development of visualizations and dashboards, a consistent track record of providing end-to-end solutions, and experience leading customer engagements. While much of our consulting offerings are delivered virtually, in this role you may be required to spend more than 70% of your time on-site with customers driving enablement and adoption depending on the requirements of individual engagements. The Solution Architect will guide clients through Data & Analytics strategy development and implementation, creating solutions to drive adoption and promote the use of standard methodologies that are embodied in the Tableau Blueprint.The Solution Architect leads one or more workstreams in complex enterprise customer engagements, partnering with key collaborators to drive and achieve the vision while completing key deliverables. They serve as hands-on advisors, using strong interpersonal skills, solution and/or technical knowledge, Tableau product knowledge, industry experience, consulting experience, and knowledge of their client’s business to deliver customer return on investment.Solution Architects are strong presenters and facilitators that are able to co-create the vision and lead the execution with the customer as well as acquire customer acceptance of the delivered solution. They are capable of driving difficult conversations and removing roadblocks to implement the business strategies. They are proficient at analyzing issues and obstacles to settle root cause, and can identify appropriate corrective action. They communicate with technical and business team members from all levels through C-suite. On a day to day basis, they interact with customer product owner, business process owner and technical resources to understand requirements, analyze information, and craft comprehensive solutions. They also show a strong understanding of typical business challenges or common objectives faced by customers within the industry.Solution Architects are stewards of the Professional Services Methodology and use their networks to ensure that standard processes are followed. Solution Architects supply to thought leadership and standard processes by engaging with the cloud-specific practices teams. They will supply both internally in their Community and externally in the marketplace.YOUR IMPACT: Responsibilities Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Tableau Solution Architect. As a Tableau Solution Architect, you will be serving as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform guide to the company’s largest, most sophisticated enterprise customers. Here are some salient responsibilities the role entails -Lead delivery of client engagements for designing and implementing Tableau centered solutions: Understand client goals and objectives; assess their current state and identify gaps; prioritize and roadmap plans for implementing governance of the BI environment, developing high priority use cases, building community, and driving adoption; lead client relationships and expectations, and oversee the work of more junior consultants.Be an expert in the features, benefits, and application of Tableau’s products – Deep understanding of our Desktop/frontend products and their integration into client solutions; an intermediate level understanding of our Prep and Server product(s).Lead our customers in programs focused on improved data literacy and expanded use of advanced analytics capabilities to share key insights through actionable dashboards and make faster, more impactful business decisions.Build and deploy Tableau visualizations and integrate them with client data, authentication, and application operations including creation and execution of deployment scripts and workflows.Maintain client relationships, understand their Data & Analytics strategy and business objectives, and identify ways to enable them to succeed in becoming data-driven decision making organizations.Communicate with impact, clearly articulate client recommendations, and structure client presentations to relay your point of view.Report engagement status to clients and internal management alike, ensuring that engagements are being executed in a manner that aligns with time and resource constraints.Engage with pre-sales activities as required, to best shape engagement scope in order to align with client needs, and optimize client ROI on Tableau products.Be responsive to customer requests; mitigate objections with sound counsel and relay any product deficiencies to the right Tableau internal pipeline.Provide client enablement support for technical resources to adopt ownership of technical solutions and drive their utilization.Proactively identify ways for Tableau Services to enable clients to maximize the value of their Data & Analytics environment and drive return-on-investment on their software.Help identify trends, training needs and new programs or services.Build and maintain a library of reusable Service Delivery documentation and code (to include custom scripts and coding).Participate in or lead ad hoc side projects for the benefit of the worldwide Services Delivery organization.Lead, mentor, and coach other consultants.Travel to customer locations in support of engagement delivery and sales efforts.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of confirmed experience working in Data Visualization and Solutions. Experience owning customer engagements end-to-end and/or Project Management.A Great Teammate. You love taking on the most difficult of challenges and know how to get to the best solution.Highly Technical. You’re a visualization specialist who is also knowledgeable in databases, warehouses and BI/Visualization Solutions such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects. Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server Experience recommended. Understanding of data querying and ability to read SQL statements; programming languages desired – Python & R preferred but not required.Eye for Detail. Exercise timely practice of attention to detail through thorough and accurate assessment to better understand cause and effect. A love of creative visualizations that help customers see and understand their data is required.Analytical Problem Solver. Ability to define, identify and resolve problems with varying degrees of complexity. Strong mathematical/analytical skills. Experience in statistical Solutions desired.Superb Communicator. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it. Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases.Possible travel of about 75%, but exact travel requirements will vary based on customer.Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the strengths you'll need for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior consulting experience - especially with top tier consulting firms - is preferred.Data modeling and advanced analytics experience is preferred.Python and/or R coding expertise is a plus.Tableau Specialist Desktop, Tableau Data Analyst, and Tableau Certified Associate Consultant certifications are strongly recommended.Top Secret Clearance is requiredQualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation as well as your obtaining and maintaining the specific level of U.S. Government security clearance required for this role.
