The Trailhead Technical Operations team builds and manages product capabilities and applications that help Trailhead Academy, Trailhead Product, Marketing, and Sales teams perform their best.OVERVIEWAs the LMS Architect of Trailhead Technical Operations, you will be part of a dynamic, global team, building and supporting technical infrastructure and services to meet the business needs of our internal and external customers. Your primary focus would be leading projects through the requirements definition and solution design phase. Ensure the overall solution design meets business requirements, fulfills user stories, and works with a team of engineers through the build, test, and deployment phases. The candidate must demonstrate dynamic leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.Through user story definition, logical data model design, functional system design, and best-practice methodologies, you will lead the detailed design of Salesforce and related technology projects from inception through production support. You will provide industry standards as a trusted advisor to key business and technology partners and identify areas of product growth. You should have a passion for building scalable applications while minimizing technical debt. Finding ways to multiply the output of the team with new tools and techniques is exciting for you. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESTranslate business requirements to technical requirements, write user stories, and provide detailed system and functional designsDesigning and documenting learning management systems data model, processes, API.Define the system architecture landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomesDocument business processes and wireframe system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as make recommendations for future state improved processes and system designsMentor others in development technologies, tools, and processesLead enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycleLeverage agile work management practices, including sprint planning and retrospectives to track critical results.
