Sr. Backend Developer- AI Team

Vimeo is looking for a Sr. Backend Developer to join our AI Applications team. The AI applications team is responsible to deliver full user experiences from the idea of AI-based value towards the end experience to the user on the Vimeo platform. As a Back end Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Vimeo's AI-based user experiences on a variety of destinations on the Vimeo platform. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, data scientists and Machine learning (ML) Engineers, you will work with the most recent AI tools and abilities in the industry, and will take a key role in shaping how those will make an impact on Vimeo customers.  Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design, frontend and ML Eng to develop and implement new features for Vimeo's platform. Build scalable services and applications to support the large scale on the Vimeo platform. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and actively participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes. Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration optimal performance for AI based user experiences. Continuously research and explore new technologies, tools, and techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices. Qualifications: 5+ Experience developing services at scale with Node.js, Python, Php or Go. Experience with Developing APIs, web infrastructure, databases and microservices. Proficiency with cloud based services and ability to work independently with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). Great communication sk ills and a proven record of working across disciplines. Bonus Points : Familiarity with Front end development (React). Experience with video services.
