We are looking for a Account Manager to join our ProQuest Academia team to support our content and software products in VA, WVA and DC. This is an amazing opportunity to work with libraries, academic institutions, and consortiums to sell and support a wide array of solutions offered across Calrivate, ProQuest and ex Libris platforms.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.Minimum of 5 years sales experience in a consultative selling environmentPrior academic sector experience and domain knowledgeIt would be great if you also had . . . Experience working in a subscription sales business or matrixed organization.Strategic aptitude, a proactive and creative approach to align customer needs with solutions.Executive presence and the ability to collaborate with customers across all levels.Good organizational skills and the ability in a continuous learning environmentAbility to identify problems and apply creative solutions.Knowledge of SalesForce CRM.What will you be doing in this role? Prioritize assigned prospects to drive time allocation and account planning.Understand the strategic plans and research strategy of priority prospects, and consistently use account plans to drive priorities and account activity.Share local market knowledge with the Account Manager covering the relevant geography.Build relationships with relevant personas, including decision-makers and influencers.Identify pain points and opportunities to position against the competition.Lead proposal development and negotiations with prospects, leveraging management and internal resources to close opportunities.Oversee new customer onboarding, solution delivery, and hand-off to Account ManagersHours of Work This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
